OB/GYN OB/GYN Dr. Martin Caliendo, M.D. comes to the Quad Cities via Illinois and Kentucky. He completed his medical education at Rush Medical College and Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago where he was named OB/GYN Resident Instructor of the Year in 1992. He maintained a practice in Prestonburg, Kentucky for 4 years. His featured skills include office-based procedures and major gynecological surgeries.Certified Nurse Midwives
Deliveries are attended by the nurse-midwife or physician on-call. Our providers work as a team, and our nurse-midwives will contact one of our physicians if you need physician care at any time during the birth and recovery period.
Other Medical Staff
Nurse Practitioners (NP)
Registered nurses with advanced education in women's health care. They perform both initial exams and follow up exams. They also teach patients about normal signs and symptoms associated with pregnancy and work in close consultation with the doctors.
Registered Nurses (R.N.)
Conduct medical history and gather other medical data, review signs and symptoms associated with pregnancy and explain normal discomforts of pregnancy. They also check blood pressure, urine and weight. This information is reported to your medical provider.
Deliveries will be done by Dr. Caliendo, or our Certified Nurse Midwives.
